Here at Men's Locker we get asked all manner of wild and wonderful questions about penis enlargement methods. Especially when it comes to things like penis enlargement pills. Here is one of the more common posers we face from enquiring folk:
'How do penis enlargement pills know where my penis is?'
Sounds like a rather silly question, right? Well, perhaps. Ask it slightly differently, however, and it begins to make sense. Let's rephrase it...
‘How can a pill increase the size of a man's penis, but leave all other areas of his body unaffected?’
Put it like that and the query begins to make sense. If a magic pill can make skin, tissue, veins and capillaries all - apparently - grow in size, then how do they know just to target the phallus? Why do they not make the rest of your body increase in size...?
The answer is actually pretty simple: Penis enlargement pills don’t just target just the penis. They can’t. Those little blue pills don’t increase anything in size at all. At least not on a permanent basis, anyway.
So there you have it. Penis ‘enlargement’ pills do not know where your penis is.
These tablets can, however, give the impression that they not only know where your manhood is, but are able to make it noticeably bigger. That’s how they’re able to trick some folk into thinking that they work. The illusion is only shortlasting, though. How do the pills do this? Well, they temporarily increase blood flow to the penis. There is lengthening and expansion, but not for very long at all.
Some people swear by penis enlargement pills, despite the complete lack of any scientific results or evidence to back up their efficacy. So why do some users swear that they do in fact work? Well, it’s the placebo effect. Tests have shown time and time again that the response rates for placebo drugs in many clinical trials ranges anywhere from 30% to 40% of those tested.
That tells us that a significant amount of people who take these pills - and believe them to be effective - are simply being tricked into thinking that way. There is no quantifiable evidence of penis size increase after swallowing these things. The sheer fact that the men take the pills tricks many into thinking that there is growth. Which is fine if you’re simply looking to believe there’s been an increase. It’s not so useful if you actually want a larger penis.
Let’s not overlook the shocking fact that these kinds of pills simply aren’t safe to consume. They are known to cause a plethora of nasty side effects, none of which you want. These can include:
- Water retention
- Headaches and/or migraines
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Hypersensitivity reactions
- Rashes and other skin complaints
- Swelling of the joints
- Sleep loss
- Anxiety and depression
- Oestrogenic effects
- Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
- Diarrhoea
- Increased blood pressure
- Gastro-intestinal disturbances
- Bleeding disorders
- Hypokalemia
- Heart palpitations and dysrhythmia
None of which sound like much fun, do they...?
